Amazing technology, sobering first impression
To generate the 3D image Toshiba pa3421u 1brs uses panels with a resolution of 4,096 x 2,160 pixels with LED backlighting. Through the "Integrated Imaging-called presentation technology not as usual separate images for the right and left eye are generated, also built a series of pictures illustrating the subject from different angles. This series is finally perceived by the human brain as a single 3D image.
Although this initially excited from a technical point of view, the first impression when looking at was more sobering. A 3D effect with appropriate depth can be seen currently only three closely limited seating positions in front of the display and then only when viewed perpendicular to the display. The depth impression is from these positions are not overwhelming, but well under the circumstances. Looking from the side of the TV, the picture quickly loses all depth.
Our conclusion after the presentation at CES: The technology is very promising, currently it seems from the market, which is to be so expected within 14 months of being a long way - Toshiba has an exciting and busy months ahead.
