CES 2011: Asus Eee Pad Tablet PC Transformer
Rumors have it that Asus plans to sell their Eee Pad Tablet PC for less than $500. The price of Asus Eee Pad is lower than the price of Apple iPad and Eee PC 900 battery, FYI (see our past article on Apple Tablet PC price). This bold move will certainly put pressure on other tablet PC manufacturers to match the low price of ASUS Eee Pad. Industry analysts are predicting that even Apple cannot afford to price its iPad too high when a tough competitor like Asus starts selling affordable tablet PCs. The world is still in economic crisis and even rich yuppies will loath to spend more than $800 or more on a fancy tablet computer which, despite the overblown hype, is really just a touch screen notebook!
From Asus, we move on to the third new Tablet PC, which was presented at CES 2011th The third model is the Asus Eee Transformer Pad Tablet PC, which as of April 2011, a price between 400-600 USD (about 302 € - 453 €) will be released commercially.
