Sand in the gears
Problem: During the last beach vacation you took pictures with your digicam many photos. At home, you notice that have a set fine grains of sand and dust on the housing and mechanics on the lens.
Solution: Clean the camera lens never with a handkerchief. On the lens, a thin layer is applied as a reflection of protection. Dirty camera sensor

Then follow the instructions in the manual.
Older models do not offer such a function. But even among them a cleaning. The following guide will help also, if stubborn dirt particles can not be removed by ultrasonic cleaning.
