OQO seems to want to return to the market: the first model was almost a flop, the second model was unable to get out ... In 2009, the company has been at a loss, so it had to withdraw. Now, starting from China, it seems that OQO will be revived.
The new model OQO Model 03 has very small dimensions: 14.32 × 8.42 × 2.78 cm and weighs only 426 g including the battery weight. The hardware is not indifferent: it can be fitted with an Intel Atom Z515 clocked at 1.2 GHz, or even an Intel Atom Z550, 2.0 GHz RAM allocation of up to 2 GB, while the ' hard disk, available exclusively in SSD technology, capacity varies from 32 to 128 GB.
The connections on the device are Bluetooth, WiFi, and also the 3G connection. The doors of communication will be a USB, an HDMI and an expansion slot that can be used for VGA and Ethernet. The multitouch screen is a 4.8-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. Graphics will the Intel GMA500 integrated video card for not having shots when using the Model 03.
The keyboard is a QWERTY slider, which falls under the open display, and when closed is positioned directly behind the display.
Finally, the mini PC will have the operating system Microsoft Windows 7 inclusive. The total cost for the less powerful version, is around 1400 Euro, while the more powerful Euro 3060 comes around. Now the model is sold exclusively in China, it is unknown if and when it will arrive in the rest of the world, but it might not ever do that: past experiences have not given positive results due to the high cost of mini pc, we will see if now something has changed.
